The strata series

This is the ongoing series I’m exploring at the moment. Working on these compositions has had me coming back to the studio again and again over the past year. Having evolved from the bedrock series, this group of paintings began as a further exploration of the layers lying underneath the surface of the earth and of our lives. I always enjoy the depth and richness achieved with layers of paint, and with this series, I am pushing further into these layers. I hope you enjoy viewing this series of paintings as much as I have enjoyed painting them!
